At least it's Spring

I hope you all had a great Easter.

We're seeing lots of different signals. Today's Drapers lists promising sales increases in Fashion, and at John Lewis. In our own business, we're seeing signs of buyers re-emerging, and real interest in what we do outside, as well as in the UK - but its difficult to know whether this is the start of a recovery, or a blip. What we do find is that flexibility and variety is key.

We've added a whole new range of Ladies belts to the site, as well as some new distressed English leathers which are great value.

We'll be watching carefully what happens over the next few weeks, and we'll keep you posted..........

Light at the end of the tunnel?

We've had a year of doom and gloom, and there seem to be indications that people are fed up with fear. The outcome of G20 may just be the start of a willingness to venture out.

When we do, it seems unlikely that we go back to where we were. We'll want something good, from people we like.

I still think this is the time for independents
